Advanced Universal Connection
By using the innovative approach implemented on the infrastructure of our platform, we successfully integrate voice communications, video conferencing communications, instant messaging, desktop sharing, video surveillance monitoring and data security services together in one platform. We even link the traditional PSTN network with the IP network seamlessly based on our Advanced Universal Connection Architecture.
The fundamental communicaton protocol of our technology is based on the globally standardized SIP protocol version 2. Combining that with our modular hardware design and highly-efficient in-house developed Maverick OS © that is fully optimized for our system operation, our UC-Server is enabled to support majority of SIP-2 compatible audio and video devices, such as PCs, tablet computers, smart phones, IP mobile phones, IP phones, IP video phones, as well as traditional PSTN phones via PSTN gatewa, This realizes our goal of allowing people to communicate from anywhere at any time, as long as they have access to connect to IP network cores.
High Performance Maverick OS
Running in the core of our UC-Server platform is the highly efficient, in-house developed “Maverick OS”. The Maverick OS © is a Linux-based operating system, fully optimzed to integrate all the functions required to support wide-range SIP-2 compatible communication devices in one kernel software image. It combines the support of SIP-2 based voice/video communication, video surveillance monitoring, WiFi, basic data switching and routing, VPN tunneling, and PSTN gateway functions, …, etc. in one compact kernel that occipies only tiny footprint.
The Maverick OS © is the core of our Unified Connection architecture. It is modular, scalable, and fully extendable to support futuristic IoT devices, when the IoT technology evolves to more matured stage. With the innovative technologies adopted in the Maverick OS ©, the V2Plus platform breaks the limitations that lied in earlier generation of Unified Communication and Collaboration (UC&C) products and coverges all kinds of possible UC functions on one single box. It not only saves the cost of having to buy multiple hardware boxes to achieve all the necessary functions, but also simply the deployment complexity, thus reduced the total cost of ownership (TCO) significantly for the highly cost-efficient conscious enterprises.
As the IP traffic becomes pervasive and ubiquitous in today’s internet world, the IP protocol based communication applications, such as voice over IP (VoIP), video over IP, …, etc. are becoming increasingly popular and demanded by the majority of consumers. The convergence of voice, video and data communications onto existing enterprise network imposes big challenge about how to preserve required quality on the communication applications, especially the VoIP or Video over IP, multi-media on-demand applications. The enterprise networks is expected to not only provide a variety of services, but also to ensure good quality of data communication from end to end, so that it can ensure a good communication efficiency, which is heavily depending on the reliable quality of voice and video data processing.
QoS (Quality of Service) is the key to ensure the quality of information transmission in a complex data network, where uneven bandwidth, unreliable signal quality and delay is common issue. In our core software, we adopt a proprietary OptiQoS © algoritm which is specifically design to solve some of common QoS issues which the applications built on top of our communication infrastructure are facing. It providess us with best quality of voice and video data communication optimized for our needs, in order to minimize the image distortion and enhance voice/video streams synchronization during the communication sessions.
Clustered Presence Platform
The OS of our UC-Server supports a simple but scalable “Clustered Presence” mechanism. Per the design of UC-6050, it allows users to connect up to 20 UC-6050 in a cluster, which is translated into supporting up to 2,000 registered users, at the maximum. This type of clustered presence support allows users to start with minimal investmemt, and easily expand their UC networks as demands scale up.
